Profiles for commercial stair finishes

We supply and fit aluminium, PVC and rubber stair nosings with matching profile accessories. We consider the stair construction, floor finish and use of the building when discussing the appropriate product.

A nosing must be assessed as part of the stair, not selected by colour alone. Dimensions, fixing method, adjacent covering and maintenance requirements all need consideration.

Survey the detail

Existing tread condition, riser geometry, edge shape and floor-covering thickness influence the installation. Refurbishment may require preparation before a replacement profile is fitted.

Measurements should be checked on site. A universal profile cannot be assumed to fit every stair or resolve an underlying problem in the stair construction.

Coordinate the surrounding finish

The profile should connect neatly with carpet, vinyl or other specified coverings. Matching accessories and transitions help resolve landings and adjacent floor areas.

Visual contrast, surface characteristics and regulatory requirements must be assessed for the actual building and chosen product. We consider these requirements as part of the specification.

Prepare a useful enquiry

Share photographs, stair width and number of treads, existing covering and the proposed finish. Include access arrangements and whether the stair must remain in use during the work. Final scope and sequencing require review of the site conditions.
